About The Event

Mishloach Manot are gift packages delivered on Purim Day to your family and friends in Ottawa.

Can you help pack or deliver packages? We need over 100 volunteers every year to get everyone their Mishloach Manot in a timely manner. Let us know at mm@jetottawa.ca if you can volunteer.

Did You Know?

That we dress up on Purim and instead of trick or treat, we give gifts of food to friends, family, and people we would like to become closer to. This special Mitzvah, called Mishloach Manot or Shaloch Manos, was a command of Queen Esther (Scroll of Esther 9:22) to build community and strengthen the bonds of Jewish unity. For over 20 years, JET has prepared and delivered thousands of beautiful gifts of Purim food to the Jewish Community of Ottawa.

Each year, close to 1200 Jewish families in Ottawa receive a beautiful Purim Package, through the services of JET. Imagine the joy of receiving a lovely package of delicious food, hand delivered by a JET volunteer on Purim Day! A personalized scroll is included in each Purim package with your name and the names of any others who are sending to that household.

How to send a Purim Package: Login to the box below with the individualized code that JET emailed you. Can’t find your code or don’t have one yet? Email us at mm@jetottawa.ca and we will send you your code.
